Carrieann Borges, MBA, CRCM, CAMS, is an experienced compliance professional whose career spans 17+ years in managing compliance risk at both banking and financial technology companies. Currently, she is the Chief Compliance Officer for Rakuten Card USA, Inc., and she has worked for a number of large, small, and start up banks and financial technology companies. Carrieann is experienced in building and maintaining compliance programs to manage regulatory risk related to consumer lending, credit cards, deposits,  and payments. She holds the Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certifications.

Chief Compliance Officer, Grasshopper Bank

Chris Mastrangelo serves as the Chief Compliance Officer at Grasshopper Bank, overseeing the bank's BSA/AML, vendor management, and compliance functions. Chris was previously part of the Federal Reserve's FedNow initiative, helping to enable the fintech ecosystem for the adoption of real-time payments. At the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Chris helped lead and grow the regional and community bank regulatory supervision function, focusing on enterprise risk management and innovation and strategy for community bank and fintech partnerships. Prior to the Federal Reserve, Chris worked as a supervisory examiner at the U.S. Treasury's Office of Thrift Supervision and was a college hockey referee in the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Chris graduated from Bryant University and lives in Massachusetts with his family.

Greg contributes articles and case studies to the Federal Reserve’s Synthetic Identity Fraud (SIF) Mitigation Toolkit, and served on the Boston Fed’s work group to define an industry standard for SIF.
