FiVerity Named a 2023 Fire Award Honoree by BostInno

Recognized for Helping Financial Institutions Fight Fraud Through Real-Time Information Sharing and Collaboration

BOSTON – October 19th, 2023 - FiVerity, the leading provider of Anti-Fraud Collaboration solutions, today announced that it has been named to the 2023 BostInno Fire Awards. The Fire Awards is BostInno’s premier awards and events showcase. Every year, the Boston-based innovation publication recognizes 50 companies, organizations or people that have had a banner year within the local ecosystem.

Financial fraudsters have embraced the latest technological advancements, such as automation and Generative AI, to help them successfully target financial institutions and their customers or members. FiVerity was founded to help the financial industry fight back against fraud, giving them the tools necessary to collaborate, leverage collective intelligence, and counteract the speed and sophistication of fraudulent activities.

"We're honored to be acknowledged by BostInno as one of Boston's top innovative companies. Fraud remains a persistent challenge, particularly for small and mid-sized financial institutions,” stated Greg Woolf, Founder and CEO of FiVerity. “We recognize that there is no universal solution to combat fraud, and many financial institutions lack the tools and expertise required for effective prevention.."

FiVerity recently announced enhancements to its Anti-Fraud Collaboration Platform, adding new features that identify fraud and risk more accurately and in real-time. To help level the playing field, the company also gave small and medium-sized financial institutions free access to its Digital Fraud Network, which brings together financial institutions to share intelligence on fraudulent identities and stop criminal fraud in real-time. Members include BHG Financial, Digital Federal Credit Union, and Grasshopper Bank, among others.

“Our mission is to enable these organizations to unite and collaborate as the most effective strategy in combating fraud. Through the free-tier offering of our platform, we are extending this opportunity for thousands of financial institutions to benefit”, says Woolf.

FiVerity also announced a $4 million seed financing round earlier this year, led by Mendon Venture Partners and including FinCapital, Mendoza Ventures, Service Provider Capital, and Grasshopper Bank.

This year’s Fire Awards honorees have demonstrated their success in raising funds, launching new products, bringing in new customers, growing their Boston footprint and supporting the local community and innovation ecosystem.

“This year’s BostInno Fire honorees represent some of the most innovative and exciting growth companies in Greater Boston,” said Carolyn Jones, Market President & Publisher, Boston Business Journal and BostInno. “Their work and commitment to success is a key part of the ecosystem that is Boston business. We look forward to celebrating their success and future growth.”
